Computer Support and Network Services Scaled to Suit Small Businesses

There is no one-size-fits-all technology solution. Many small businesses benefit from a combination of computer support and network services. Regardless of your technology needs or goals, with more than 20 years of proven industry experience the team at netStructure will partner with you to find the best options for your business.

We believe in treating people the way we expect to be treated – with honesty and respect. Honest dialogue fosters productivity. Performing work we are proud of and stand behind provides the foundation for netStructure’s business and, as a result, enhances our clients’ businesses.

We take the time to explain to our clients what solutions we recommend and why. In an industry that often tries to oversell services or make promises that can’t be met, netStructure’s approach is the opposite: we are straightforward with the issues we see and the solutions we recommend.

netStructure is invested in providing practical solutions for our clients so that they can use IT to their benefit. We learn about our clients’ businesses, we listen to their concerns, and we talk with them about how netStructure can help.

We have expanded to a satellite office; how do we incorporate them into our existing IT infrastructure?

Having satellite offices can be a challenge for even well-staffed IT Departments. They must balance the needs of local workers with larger corporate goals around IT spending. And if your company has offices in multiple time zones, supporting your workers takes on an additional dimension of complexity as your IT department must extend their support hours. With dispersed offices, IT support must stretch beyond an 8-hour day. It may go without saying, but your data center or IT closet should have enough space to fit the necessary equipment. Since data centers consume 100 to 200 times as much power as standard office spaces, make sure it can handle the extra power load. The cooling system also should be sized to maintain a comfortable operating temperature in the 70 to 75° F range. Otherwise, IT equipment can overheat or fail before [...]

How do I make sure my email and file system are compliant with HIPAA?

Passed by Congress in 1996, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) mandates protecting the privacy and security of patients’ confidential health information, including when and with whom that information can be shared. A supplemental HIPAA Privacy Rule regulates the use and disclosure of patient data—whether verbal, written, or electronic (both via email and file transfer)—for health care providers, health plans, and health care clearing houses, all known as covered entities. The HIPAA Security Rule specifically defines security standards for the management of personal health information in electronic form (ePHI) by covered entities. The Health Information Technology for [...]
